1937 - The story begins with General Saw and Knife Company opening it's doors for business in New York City.
1967 - After years of working as saw-smiths at General Saw and Knife, Roman Kordecki, and his brother Felix, approached the original owners with an offer to buy the business. In 1967, the two brothers made their offer a reality, and their entrepreneurial plans were set into motion.
1970 - The company changed it's name to General Saw Corporation and relocated from New York to Secaucus, New Jersey where it expanded into a larger facility to accommodate its rapid growth. Secaucus remained home for 30 years.
1992 - Spurred by the tremendous industrial growth within the Southeast United States, General Saw opened an additional manufacturing facility in Cape Coral, Florida. General Saw South soon gave the company the flexibility to manufacture and service an even wider range of blades for the wood, plastics and aluminum industries.
2001 - General Saw Corporation moved it's corporate headquarters and northern manufacturing unit to Cape Coral, Florida, where it remains today.
